Grand Canyon Village at a Glance
Grand Canyon Village is located on the south rim of one of the most famous canyons
in the world, the Grand Canyon.
The village is one of the most popular tourist destinations for the Grand Canyon,
attracting over five million visitors a year. When visiting the park, visitors
can ride one of the free shuttle buses that operate daily. RV resorts and campgrounds
operate throughout the area and offer campers a chance to sleep among the Arizona
canyons. Hiking and mountain biking are very popular in this part of Arizona,
with trails including the Village Loop, the Hermit Road Loop and the Kaibab Trail
Loop. Grand Canyon Village has a number of souvenir shops and a tourist center
that offers information on the region. A historical attraction worth visiting
is the Grand
Canyon Railway, which provides a museum as well as train service to Williams.
